For many of us, that particular day was over 20 years ago now. Well things have changed a lot since those days and our kids today are subject to far more hazards and situations then we could have ever imagined. From online bullying, natural disasters, and general social acceptance, things have changed a lot in the past twenty years.
The Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe! Course provides today’s youth will a variety of tools to handle and manage a full variety of today’s real World Scenarios. Although this course is commonly referred to as a Home Alone Course, the course content is so much more.

- My Daily Routine
- Keeping Busy and Having Fun
- I Am Prepared
- Checking for Safety: My Neighbourhood and My Home
- Expect the Unexpected
- Fire Safety (Including Home Escape Plan)
- Healthy Food Choices
- Healthy Living
- First Aid
Each participant receives a take home manual for future reference and Canadian Red Cross Certification upon successful completion of the course.
Courses are available in English and French all across Ottawa and surrounding area.
